College Planning
Freshman and Sophomore Year
I can begin working with students either hourly or on package as early as their freshman year.
Junior and Senior Year
I offer a comprehensive junior and senior year package that includes summer program assistance the summer before the senior year. The comprehensive package includes up to 12 colleges.
I also offer a college application package which includes up to 10 schools.
A La Carte Services
I will offer some services like mock interviews and college selection for an hourly fee.
Career and Aptitude Assessments
I get to know my students well. Each student begins with a YouScience strengths and aptitude assessment. In addition, parents and students each fill out a questionnaire, which provides for additional insight into the goals and values of the student and parents. Upon completion of YouScience student creates a resume.
College Selection and Fit
My students complete Corsava, an interactive college fit card game. After, we talk in-depth about their selections, a first round college list is developed. All students have subscriptions to Custom College Plan to conduct their college research.
College Major Identification
For students who are multi-interested, using the results of their YouScience assessment, I will work with students to identify possible college majors.
Application Services
Through a personalized approach and organizational tools each student will be provided an application timeline and roadmap. I provide structure and support for essay development and completion. I work with students on all supplemental essays including honors program and scholarship essays. Students will have guidance on requesting letters of recommendation, their activities section, and how to communicate with their colleges.
Assessment of Academic and Non-Academic Record
I review a stduent's academic and non-academic record and make suggestions based on student's interests. I also assist students with high school course selection.
College Affordability
The cost of college is one of the most important college fit factors. I work with my families to understand the various types of aid and navigate their award letters. I am proud that every student I work with receives merit aid.
Standardized Testing Assistance
I assist with referrals and in some cases have helped students design their own test prep plans.
Summer Program Identification and Applications
I assist with finding unique volunteer, work, research, and other meaningful summer programs for my students.
